The River Of Night (poem)
There by the river which flows toward the night
Where jasmine recalls that sweet yesterday
And song in the leaves will steal hearts away
While whispering breeze still promise delight
-
There by the shores where dreamers did play
Where flowers did blush their splendor ignite
And trees gently sway a dance to invite
While wishes in mist call wonder to stray
-
What dark clouds could claim this happy refrain
To rip away soul and leave feelings bare
-
Where once there was Joy now visions of rain
And with all my hopes went reason to care
-
When so much is lost but I still remain
I wonder if she still waits for me there
