License To Kiss (poem)
The way I start each day let’s say a kiss
No need to season reason anymore
To miss a chance to kiss would be remiss
For we abide beside love’s kisses’ shore
-
Too old to scold two lovers bold as we
Our youth shouts out a truth that they may find
These eyes that lack their clarity to see
Fine sage of age no kisses left behind
-
Why can’t a husband freely kiss his wife
What magazine makes laws that we’re now old
A kiss once sealed the license of our life
With life we learned to make our kissing bold
-
So with this license I sense I am free
To kiss the Miss wherever we may be
